Head of E-Marketing

Based: London
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000

An outstanding senior role within a reputable online travel company has just arisen, an opportunity not to be missed.  This role will require the successful applicant to create, manage and execute online marketing plans to include budget planning and management, managing the marketing mix. Also define and manage the SEO strategy for their leading brand in the UK and other brands/markets when appropriate.

Main responsibilities:

  • Delivering and managing a Multi Product, Multi Channel E-marketing strategy
  •  Drive decision making by analysing operational and marketing metrics to drive profitability and cost efficiency

E-Mareting:

  • Define an eMarketing strategy which maximises profitable growth

  • Ensure that the business is quick to react to market trends and that PPC in particular is continually optimized

  •  Ensure the eMarketing plan has the most effective mix of activity; PPC, graphical, online display, video etc

  • Work alongside the revenue management team to identify areas for development and destinations/products

  • Create the necessary processes and systems to effectively manage the PPC/SEO teams

  • To manage relationships with existing agencies, search engines, meta search websites

  • To coordinate with Finance for forecasting and budgeting

 

SEO:

  • Development and execution of the UK SEO strategy and extend to additional markets when the opportunity exists

  •  Management of the team

  •  Develop tools and systems to monitor results

 

Affiliate Network

  • Develop a strategy to maximise booking volumes and manage commission payments from their affiliate network

  • Manage existing affiliate relationships through existing networks

  • To value, bid and launch online partnerships

  • Manage budgeted revenue and spend to ensure agreed targets are met

 

Business Intelligence and Decision Support

  • Industry benchmarking and Gap analysis to drive best practices in MIS reporting

  • Coordinate the Data warehousing project

  • Suggest improvements to internal reporting

  • Ensure that sites are tagged appropriately  

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

  • Solid Online B2C/OTA experience, in-depth experience of online marketing

  • Experience in managing a large marketing budget

  •  Experience in managing a team of 8-10 analysts

  • Graduate level education compulsory, an MBA is desirable

  • Experience of online campaign management and reporting tools. Understanding of Online Tracking technology and implementation

  • Knowledge and understanding of web-sites builds / architecture / technology, experience in dealing with Technology and Product development

  • Proven track record in search marketing via SEO and PPC

  • Experience of on line customer acquisition marketing

  • Knowledge and understanding affiliate networks and partnerships

  • Strong accuracy, attention to detail at all times

  •  Experience of measuring campaign / response effectiveness/ ROI

  • Strong Project Management Skills & Interpersonal skills
