TBC teams up with Tranmere Rovers

The Business Connection team has been working closely with Tranmere Rovers Football Club and the Job Centre Plus in delivering the 'Rovers Return to Work programme for 18 - 24 year olds.
The 10 week programme covered a wide range of topics, covering sports, team building and practical job hunting workshops, all designed to give the participants the skills needed to be successful in their quest to secure employment.
The workshops devised and delivered by The Business Connection required the candidates, with the help of our qualified consultants, to assess their skills, qualities and strengths, and how to use them to the best advantage, along with tuition to help them plan and create a CV, and tips on interview techniques.
"In a competitive job market its vital that young people are given all the advice and guidance they need to give them more than a fighting chance of securing the right job for them" says Kirsty Craig, CEO of The Business Connection. "Supporting young people through this initiative is one way we as a business, can help."
The course has been so successful that a further two programmes are to be held later this year.
Tranmere Rovers' Chief Executive Mick Horton said "We are delighted to have been a big part of such a significant community initiative and to be able to provide support where it was needed. The opportunity to learn and be trained in such a unique environment of a football stadium has proved to be extremely motivating for all the participants who took part and we look forward to facilitating the next two courses."
