Tranmere Rovers Season Ticket Winner The Business Connection is delighted to announce the winner of their World Cup Competition held during the recent World Cup tournament! Suzy Young of DHL Global Forwarding (UK) Ltd is now the proud holder of a Tranmere Rovers Football Club season ticket. The competition, to correctly guess England's starting team against USA, was found to be trickier than expected and as no correct entries were received the competition was rolled over to England's game against Slovenia. Despite many entries to the second competition no-one correctly named all 11 starting players so the closest entrants were entered into a draw. It was in fact Suzy's husband, a big Tranmere Rovers fan, who persuaded her to enter the competition, and is now overjoyed that Suzy's name was lucky enough to come out of the draw. Tranmere Rovers and The Business Connection have teamed up to offer this sought after prize following the strong team spirit shown during Tranmere Rovers recent 'Rover Return to-Work' initiative, aimed at helping local 18 to 24 year olds gain the relevant skills needed to be successful in their quest for employment. The first programme, delivered during the spring of this year, was so successful with 11 out of the 13 participants securing work after completion of the course, that a further two are planned in September and November of this year. "We were over the moon when Tranmere Rovers offered us the season ticket as a competition prize, especially when the entries started to roll in" says Kirsty Craig, CEO of The Business Connection, "and the response so positive from all concerned. It's something a bit different for TBC to get involved in but we have always prided ourselves on never standing still. We are, of course, open to enquiries from the England squad for our excellent training option in how to work together as a team!" |
